Minxa does not sell personal information, and does not give it to advertisers. There is nothing you need to switch off for that.
When you click a product, minxa records a click number (no name, no email, no account) and sends you to the shop, often through an affiliate network (Skimlinks or Sovrn Commerce). The network receives that click number and the address of the minxa page you clicked from. The network and the shop may then set their own cookies on their own websites, so that a purchase can be credited to minxa. Minxa does not see what you buy or who you are.
Some US state privacy laws may count this hand-off as "sharing". If you want to opt out of it, write to [email protected]. You can also block those networks' cookies in your browser settings; the shop link still works.
Minxa counts how the site is used with PostHog. You can switch it on or off at any time in (also at the bottom of every page). Switching it off deletes PostHog's cookie and stored ids from your browser. The Cookie policy lists everything minxa stores in your browser.
Your browser's opt-out signal (Global Privacy Control, GPC) is honoured automatically: when your browser sends it, analytics stays off and Cookie settings shows "Your browser's opt-out signal was honoured." You do not need to do anything else.
To get a copy of the personal information minxa holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to opt out of anything described here, email [email protected] from the address on your account (or tell us which account it is). We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before we act on it. Signed-in members can also delete their account themselves: "Delete Account & Data" under Privacy & Legal in the chat's account menu.
More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
