Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026. Minxa (minxa.com) is a fashion discovery site. We do not sell merchandise. This policy describes the information we collect, why we collect it, and how to reach us about it.

Who we are

Minxa is a sole proprietorship of Dirk Godshalk, operated from the United States. Privacy requests go to [email protected]. The postal address is on the Terms of Service page.

What we collect

• Account. Email, display name, password hash or sign-in via Google or Apple, profile photo if you upload one, and gifting settings you choose.
• Activity on Minxa. Favorites, follows, mutes, search queries you type, pages you view while signed in, and messages you send with a gift.
• Searches from AI assistants. When you search Minxa through an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude, the assistant's servers send us the words of your search and any options it chose (such as a price limit). We keep those words and the time of the search, as we do for searches typed on this site. We use the sending server's IP address only to limit how many searches arrive each minute; it is not stored with the search. We receive no name, account or chat history from the assistant.
• Gift payments. Processed by Stripe. Minxa does not store full card numbers. Stripe receives what it needs to charge a gift and to pay a recipient who has connected a Stripe account.
• Technical logs. IP address, browser, device, timestamps, and error reports (including via Sentry) so the site can run and we can debug failures.
• Cookies and similar. Session cookies to keep you signed in, a first-party analytics-consent cookie (mx_analytics_consent) that mirrors your Termly choice so the server can honour it, and cookies set by affiliate networks when you click out to a retailer (see the Affiliate disclosure).

How we use it

We use this information to run Minxa: to show products, save favorites, operate follows and profiles, process gift payments through Stripe, prevent abuse, measure whether the site is working, and send transactional email (for example about a gift). We do not sell your personal information. We do not use Google user data to train models or to serve third-party ads.

Google API disclosure

Minxa's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who we share with

• Retailers and affiliate networks (including Skimlinks / Skim Resources, Sovrn Commerce, and Datafeedr where a shop uses those paths) when you click out to buy. They see the click, not your Minxa password.
• Stripe for gift payments and connected-account payouts.
• Google and Apple if you choose to sign in with them.
• Infrastructure vendors that host the app, database, logs, email, and images (including Railway, Cloudflare, and similar processors acting on our instructions).
• The public sees what you choose to make public: your profile, favorites you have not hidden, and follows.

Your choices and US state rights

You can close your account, ask us to delete personal information we hold, or request a copy, by emailing [email protected]. Cookie preferences are available via the consent banner on the site. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws can use the same address for access, deletion, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” as those laws define those words. We do not sell personal information for money. Affiliate click-out cookies may count as “sharing” for advertising measurement under some state laws; you can opt out by contacting us or using the consent banner.

How long we keep it

Account data lasts for the life of the account. After deletion we keep what we must for legal, security, or payment-reconciliation reasons, then remove or de-identify the rest. Server logs are rotated on a shorter operational cycle.

Children

Minxa is not directed at children under 13, and you must be 18 or older to send or receive a gift. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
